September Garden Gathering
Our September Garden Gathering was a great success, with regular volunteers joining as well as several new members coming along to join in and visit the Community Garden.
Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped out, we got heaps done in one session.
Todays session achieved:
Cutting brambles back
Seeds planted
A table created using a pallet and recycled woodable
Garden edges strimmed
Plants moved and planted
Compost dead hedge stabilised and more sticks added in
Creative signs planned
Veg & fruit collected
Of course we also ate snacks and cake and drank tea, all in all a successful and enjoyable day in the garden.
We're looking forward to the next few sessions of the year which include wildlife surveys, pond creation, poetry and creating another compost bay.
