The local community came together for a wonderful evening celebration at the Bognor Regis in Bloom Awards 2026. Held at the Bognor Regis Town Football Club, the venue was buzzing with growers, local volunteers, school representatives, and green-fingered enthusiasts.

Organised by the Bognor Regis in Bloom Working Group alongside Bognor Regis Town Council, the event was a heartfelt tribute to everyone who helps make our town greener, brighter, and more sustainable.

As the event reminded us, Bognor Regis in Bloom is "Not Just About Flowers". It’s about building community ties, sharing skills, protecting local wildlife, and taking pride in shared public spaces.

Guests enjoyed a finger buffet, tea, coffee, a fun plant focused quiz and the return of the popular raffle. More importantly, the room was filled with inspiring conversations about sustainability, conservation, and the joy of spending time outdoors.

Who Was Involved?

The awards evening brought together a diverse cross-section of our local community:

Local Residents & Allotment Holders: Celebrating individual passion projects, from front gardens and lush containers to vibrant vegetable patches and wildlife-friendly havens.
Schools & Youth Groups: Honouring the next generation of growers, including Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, and local schools who poured their creativity into garden projects and flowerbed designs.
Local Businesses & Public Places: Recognising shopkeepers, community hubs, and places of worship that enhance Bognor Regis' streets with hanging baskets and green frontages.
The Bognor Regis in Bloom Committee & Town Representatives: Organisers like Ingrid Cross and members of the Town Council who dedicate countless hours to coordinating the yearly competitions and spring cleans
